While France is so jubilant to celebrate victory over Nazism, May 8, 1945, an event turned tragic in Algeria. Algerians answering the call PPA (the party of the Algerian Party) take to the streets to express their joy and honor their fallen brothers in Europe.

 In the procession, among allies, Algerian flags flying. The colonial authorities then give the order to the police to shoot at the holders thereof. A bloody crackdown on protesters. In Setif, Guelma and Kherrata the barbaric acts committed by militias also settlers, continue for weeks, leaving tens of thousands dead. Men were thrown alive into ravines.
